SEO Case Study: SuccessWithAuctions.com
SuccessWithAuctions.com is one of our oldest clients, as such, we have had ample time to produce substantial results on their behalf. This case study demonstrates how having no contract is beneficial to both the client and SEOatSea.com. We know that our clients must see continuous and substantial improvements in the search engines in order to stay with us. In the case of successwithauctions.com we were able to do this and more. The company that owned this website was bought out recently and as such, our work on the website has ended. The website continues to ride the "seo wave" that we created and will continue to bring in quality traffic for years to come.
What We Did:
- The initial website design was built using a Dreamweaver template and was not SEO friendly. We worked with the client to update their look and feel and better organize their site structure.
- Most of the code for the site was decently written. There were however, several minor coding issues that we were able to assist with that had a positive impact on their ranking.
- The site had a lot of keyword problems, often pages were competing against other pages of the same site. By establishing a keyword strategy, we were able to reduce keyword cannibalization.
- As with most of our clients, after looking at internal site design issues we began to focus on off page factors. Our custom "natural" linking campaign allowed the website to go from only almost zero links to over 36,000.
Our Results:
We started working with SuccessWithAuctions.com early in 2006. We started seeing positive results almost immediately but our efforts really started to shine on about the six month mark. At its peak, the site was reporting the following statistics.
- Increased traffic to the site by 1,767%!
- Increased page views by 1,700%
- Increased Search Engine Traffic from 15% to over 70.70%
- Increased the number of keywords bringing in traffic to 16,477!
- Increased traffic from zero visitors to over 1/4 million visitors per year.
- The site topped out at #2 for the keyword: make money online!

The Website Design
Below are some screen shots of the SuccessWithAuctions.com website. We wanted to give the site a web 2.0 look and feel and still make it easy to use. One problem that we ran into was the trying to organize the large amount of content and into an easy to use format. In the end we were able to categorize the site content into easy to use modules with proved quite effective.
